Time | Talent | TREASURe | Ties
We believe engaged philanthropy consists of the four Ts: time, talent, treasure, and ties. We empower young people to make change in their community. Our school based program provides an introduction to the treasure component; every class awards a $1,000 grant to a nonprofit organization.
84% of our program graduates take independent action to address social challenges in their community. Often, their efforts focus on volunteering their time and talents at local organizations. During the granting process, each classrooms sends Requests for Proposal to local nonprofit organizations. Each proposal includes a section which highlights volunteer opportunities for youth.
